Report from AGM, 28th January 2008.
The first meeting of the new year took place at the Kingsley Hotel in Cork, where the re-election of officers took place. A calendar of events was agreed for the coming year, available here. As you will know, this is the 25th anniversary of our parent club, and to commemorate this, an event to mark both the 25th anniversary of the JEC and the 50th anniversary of the Mk2 will take place at Thorsby Hall, Nottinghamshire, on the 6th and 7th of June. Details of this event can be had from the February edition of the club magazine. To celebrate this anniversary, we at the Irish Region will be joining with our friends from the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club on the 5th July at the Irish Classic and Vintage Motor Show in Terenure College, Dublin, and our stand there will be celebrating and it is hoped that there will be a large turnout of cars as well as perhaps some cars from the UK joining with us.
