This year's Terenure Car Show was a great success, and our thanks
to Tony O'Keeffe from the Jaguar Heritage Trust again for sending
Roger and Stuart along with the Jaguar XK8 from the James Bond film
'Die Another Day', and the XF Jaguar which broke the land speed
record for a production saloon car at a speed of 225mph, and it's
been the fastest production Jaguar since the XJ220. These cars added
to and attracted great attention from the public attendance. And
especial thanks to Jim Ryan and the staff at Spirit Motor Group
whose help and assistance is very much appreciated.
The highlight of the day of course was the fact that our member
Barrie Graham won the perpetual trophy for his magnificent XK120 and
was presented with it by Angela Cavey, whose father, Frank Cavey,
was the main Jaguar-Daimler motor dealer in Dublin for many years.
Many of our members' cars would have been sold originally by the
Cavey family.
Press Launch of the Terenure Car Show. The press launch again
this year took place at the Mansion House in Dublin's Dawson Street
by the Lord Mayor, Emer Costelloe, and John O'Driscoll, Barry Graham
and John Sheehan represented our club. The launch took place at 12
