About the Jaguar Enthusiast Club

The JEC is a club for anybody who is interested in the Jaguar motor car marque. Benefits of membership include a monthly magazine, regular social outings, access to advice on mechanical problems and restorations. Members run a wide variety of Jaguars—from E-Type to XJS, and Mark II to XJ8—but also many members don’t own a Jaguar currently: the club is open to everybody who is enthusiastic about the cars.

The Irish Region of the club groups together members who are based in the Republic of Ireland. We meet on the last Wednesday of every month. Until the major flooding that devastated parts of Cork in late 2009, we met at the Kingsley Hotel on the Straight Road in Cork. As of March 2010, our new meeting location is the Viaduct Bar, Bandon Road, Cork, from about 8:30pm. We have our own Calendar of Events, aimed at members of the Irish Region.

If you wish to join the club, please visit the club headquarters web-site. Membership of the Irish region incurs an additional membership charge, and you will be advised of this at the meeting in the Kingsley Hotel.

Committee members for current year:

  • John Sheehan (Chairman)
  • Tim McCarthy (Secretary)
  • Pat O'Brien (Treasurer)
  • Barrie Graham (Correspondent)
  • Jonathan Sherwin (IT Consultant)
  • John O'Driscoll (PR & Events)
