July 2009 - Minutes of June meeting

 J.E.C. monthly meeting minutes.                                                                                 Date; 24/06/09

1)      Classic car show Terenure.  Jaguar heritage  trust are bringing over a short nosed ‘D’Type

to be displayed on our stand. They would have brought more but the show is clashing with

the Goodwood event in England.

2)      Trip to Waterville in Kerry  on the 5^th & 6^th Sept. Staying at the Sneem hotel. See the

Calendar of events for details.

3)      Trip to Carrick-on-suir Co.Waterford for the annual run with the I.J.D.C. on the 15^th

& 16^th of august. A suitable hotel is yet to be decided on.

4)      A club committee idea was discussed and approved on the setting up of a type of forum

for the Web site. This is for members to recount their experiences with their cars.  For example,

maintenance work with details not mentioned in the manuals. Unusual problems and how they

were solved. Details on how this will work will be on the website when ready.

5)      Report from John Sheehan of the Thorsby Hall event which our own Sean McAuliffe won

the Pride and Joy competition with his 2003 3.5litre X- 350. Congratulations Sean.
